- Welcome to Hunan Shiney Steel Co., Ltd.
Precision machining is the process of shaping metal parts to meet the specific needs and functions of the end user. A significant portion of modern machining is performed using Computer Numerical Control (CNC), where computers guide the movement and operation of mills, lathes, and other cutting machines. Known as CNC machining, this method plays a crucial role in modern manufacturing, especially when producing parts that require high precision.
While some applications may rely on castings or forgings alone to meet the necessary tolerances and surface finishes, most require additional machining to meet the customer’s unique specifications and ensure the finished parts function properly with other components. Even investment castings, which typically offer superior surface finishes and tolerance compared to other metal-forming processes, still require supplementary machining.
To achieve the high quality and precision of the finished parts, computer programs are essential. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software provide detailed instructions for each stage of the machining process. Programs like SolidWorks, ProE, and UG create intricate 3D models to guide production.
With advanced CNC machines and 4-axis machining centers, both horizontal and vertical, Shiney Steel specializes in producing custom OEM machining parts. Using CNC machines and other specialized tools, we adhere to strict customer specifications for tolerance and surface roughness. Our machining facility processes ferrous and non-ferrous metal castings, giving us a competitive edge in controlling both costs and quality.

At Shiney Steel CNC Machining Factory, we offer a comprehensive range of machining processes, including turning, facing, boring, milling, drilling, planing, shaping, grooving, face grinding, cylindrical grinding, honing, gear hobbing, threading, lapping, tapping, and more.
Honing
Our honing process accommodates hole diameters from 0.8 mm to 100 mm, with depths up to 280 mm. We achieve linear tolerances of 0.001 mm, roundness of 0.0005 mm, and straightness of 0.0005 mm. The resulting surface finish can reach Ra 0.05μm. We utilize both horizontal and vertical honing machines, including single-spindle, twin-spindle, and six-spindle configurations.
Turning
We perform hard turning using single-point cutting tools on components with hardness above 58 HRC (post-heat treatment). Maximum turning diameter is 26 mm, with lengths up to 100 mm. We maintain dimensional tolerances of 0.005 mm and surface roughness as fine as Ra 0.2μm.
O.D. and I.D. Grinding
Our grinding capabilities include external and internal diameters. For shafts, we support diameters up to 750 mm and lengths up to 1,000 mm, achieving roundness of 0.0004 mm and cylindricity of 0.001 mm. Internal holes can be ground from 3 mm to 100 mm in diameter.
Deburring
At Shiney Steel, we employ advanced deburring techniques such as electrochemical machining, thermal energy methods, and abrasive flow machining. These methods are especially suited for hydraulic, automotive, and aerospace parts featuring intersecting holes and complex internal cavities, meeting the most demanding deburring requirements.
O.D. Centerless Grinding
Our centerless grinding services accommodate shafts up to 200 mm in diameter and 400 mm in length, with diameter tolerances as tight as 0.001 mm and cylindricity up to 0.0005 mm. We offer both through-feed and infeed grinding options.
